He Knows Our Frame

“For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.“
Psalm

103:14 NLT

God knows we’re weak. He knows that living the Christian life is hard, that we’re always at odds with the flesh. He knows how easily we can be tempted.

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.“ (Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT)

He is patient with us. He’s gentle and He restores our soul.

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.“ (Psalm 23:3 ESV)

“We have at the right hand of God a High Priest who can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, because He has suffered Himself being tempted. When we cry to Him in the hour of bodily pain and weakness, He knows well what we mean. When our prayers and praises are feeble through bodily weariness, He can understand our condition. He knows our frame. He has learned by experience what it is to be a man.“ J.C. Ryle

When we get weary from our day-to-day struggles, He knows exactly what we’re going through. We can ask for His help after the fact, or we can ask for His guidance before the struggles begin.

“God uses people. God uses people to perform His work. He does not send angels. Angels weep over it, but God does not use angels to accomplish His purposes. He uses burdened broken-hearted, weeping men and women.“ David Wilkerson

He doesn’t ask us to bear loads that are too heavy. He helps us carry them!

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.“ (Matthew 11:28 NLT)

“A providence is shaping our ends; a plan is developing in our lives; a supremely wise and loving Being is making all things work together for good. In the sequel of our life’s story, we shall see that there was a meaning and necessity in all the previous incidents, except those that were the result of our own folly and sin, and that even these have been made to contribute to the final result. Trust Him, child of God: He is leading you by a right way to the celestial city of habitation; and as from the terrace of eternity you review the path by which you came from the morning-land of childhood, you will confess that He has done all things well.” F.B. Meyer
